I love the scene in Breakfast At Tiffany’s where Audrey Hepburn is dressed immaculately stunning staring in the window of Tiffany and Co. I can’t help but to admire her stunning pearls and little tiara. I think Marilyn got it wrong when she said “diamonds are a girls best friend.” Any type of exquisite jewelry is a girls best friend forever.

The earliest signs of jewelry made from bone, animal teeth and shells were discovered in South Africa dating back 100,000 years. It was worn this to show signs of wealth, status, ward off evil and generally to look good. Not much has changed in 100,000 years!

I love a great necklace that can transform a little black dress (LBD) into the most amazing piece of art. The same can be said for a pair of earrings, bracelet, rings and broaches. These days there are pieces of jewelry to adorn and bedazzle any part of your body.

Waistbeads by Sewra have gorgeous exotic beads in bold color combinations to make your belly sexy. With designs influenced from many European and African cultures owner and creator Sewra thinks each piece provides an opportunity of individuality, “These pieces are truly one of a kind and I love to see women adorned in my work not only because they look sexy, but because they’re doing something personal for themselves.”

Another alluring jewelry line is the German company Thomas Sabo. Thomas Sabo creates very modern, funky and rock glam pieces for all the in-style women and men of today. They are inspired by every day images and then sugared up with color, crystals and sterling silver.  This summer season it’s all about the glamed-up skulls for both men and women.

The best and most creative part of all the TS necklace and bracelet collections is that they are all charms. You purchase your foundation necklace or bracelet then purchase the individual charms you want. You can add them all on or change them to suit your mood. You become your own jewelry designer.

With so many options to make you stand out, jewelry is always going to be a girls best friend.
