Contrary to popular belief, playing video games for 3 days straight does not constitute as a fat burning activity. Nevertheless, just about everything else is, from walking to scrubbing the floor and even putting away boxes of unwanted things in a top shelf can help in promoting weight loss.

In this day and age with all the video games, cable TV and other digital distractions. Many of us no longer go outside to play ump rope, play hopscotch, ride bicycles or play ‘hide and seek’. It is as if measures are being taken by gaming companies to increase the love of video games and increase the hate for the outdoors. Gaming Company Nintendo came up with the Wii gaming console, where the control pads are used in such a way to simulate the game on the screen. For instance, you swing your arms and run across the room as you would in a real game of tennis or the real feeling of jogging complete with jogging routes graphics. This is a good step in the right direction, that promotes some form of exercise, but of course there is always a lot more you can consider to add to your overall health regime.

You can take the stairs if you can instead of the elevator, you can also walk or jog to the grocery store instead of taking a car or a bus. These are all basic ways to lose weight. There are some exercises you can do while watching television like squats and even some light weight lifting. In addition even washing your car or mopping your floor will help you loose weight Also by carrying buckets of water, or moving boxes or even furniture during a spring cleaning day will surely help in fat burning. Gardening and cooking a meal for visitors or guests can take some calories away for you. At the office, walk a little further to do some photocopies or even just pick yourself up and go talk to that individual. All these exercises are effortless and you can easily implement them into your daily life. Before you know it, little by little not only would you lose weight but you would feel healthier and have more energy.

However, the most fascinating activity, known to tone muscles and tighten the skin, is sex. However, interestingly nicknamed ‘sexercise’, the actual activity of lovemaking handles all aspects of a workout, from cardiovascular exercises, to aerobics.

Therefore, as you can see, you do not need a treadmill, fancy weights, or an exercising bicycle to lose weight. Unbeknown to us, weight loss can come in the form of household chores, playing with your little brother or child, moving between desks or offices at work or even rushing to the bus station the ground floor at the end of a hectic workweek. Along with healthy eating, this may be a very economical and rather fun way to be fit, trim, and healthy.Furthermore the most important part is that it doesn’t feel that you are going out of your way in order to lose weight, which is primarily a huge reason why people fail. So next time you are doing anything, brainstorm for a few seconds to ponder if there is a “healthier” alternative to perform the task.
