Accessories Granted based out in New Jersey is owned and managed by Nicola Mingo-Hampson. Presenting a variety of accessories ranging from earrings, rings, and vibrant gem colored handbags, Accessories Granted is a one stop shop for the accessories diva on slim budget.
Urban Perspective Magazine: I absolutely loved the pieces you have on your site. Why did you start Accessories Granted Online Boutique?
Accessories Granted: Thank you. Accessories Granted Online Boutique was started when I was laid off from my job. I have always loved fashion so I decided to start selling jewelry and handbags. Since I love shopping I decided why not shop for accessories and sell it. More productive than just shopping for myself and buying stuff I didn’t need because I’m truly a shopaholic. Working on opening my boutique, hopefully in 2010. In the meantime I will build up my clientele with my Online Boutique.
UPM: How would you describe the style of the boutique and its pieces?
Accessories Granted: I have unusual pieces and one of a kind. My Online Boutique only carries one of each item, so get it while you can.

UPM: What is the process of you choosing pieces for the boutique?
Accessories Granted: I would meet with the vendors that I buy the pieces from and make sure I’m in love with it and it stands out. I tend not to follow too much of the trend, like to be different.
UPM: Can you give us some of the name of some of the brands you carry in your boutique?
Accessories Granted: Trend N Style and Galian for handbags. As for jewelry I use a lot of different designers. I like to look for local artist that make unusual pieces.
UPM: What trends in handbags and clutches do you see for this fall/winter?
Accessories Granted: Large to medium Shiny Metallic Handbags are in for the Fall/Winter. You will see a lot of vintage looking clutches
UPM: What matters to you the most as a boutique owner?
Accessories Granted: I want to make sure when my customers shop, they’re happy with their purchase. That’s a big deal for me, knowing that they’re satisfied.
UPM: What events do you participate in to further promote Accessories Granted?
Accessories Granted: I do a lot of shopping parties with clients. Attend a lot of different functions that requires vendors. I’m Starting to get into styling models and actresses with my accessories.
UPM: Business owner has a vision for their business. What are some of the goals of expanding the boutique?
Accessories Granted: My goal is to eventually open a unique boutique, can’t give all the details but it’s in the works. It will be something that you don’t see often. Will let you know when I have my grand opening.
UPM: Any advice to the Urbane Perspective readers in regards to picking the proper accessory pieces?
Accessories Granted: Don’t be afraid to try something different and unusual, clients tend to say “I don’t know if that will look good on me, it’s usually not my style” I say be daring and you never know what’s your style until you give it a try.
